Water Colouring with Distress Inks - 5th June Class at The Paperlane

Hello Lovely TPL readers! Hope you are all well - it's a Bank Holiday weekend again, so even if the sun does not shine, Ive got an extra day I can spend crafting! How are you spending yours?

Thought I would share the sample for next week's class - Using Distress Inks as a colouring medium for stamps. We will be playing with Distress Stains too! I had so much fun last time with the lovely ladies, I can't wait!

The seam binding has been altered with Distress Inks - more about that at the class! The images used are of course, Molly Blooms. They are really lovely, and little duck with his welly boots? Just too cute!! The papers are My Minds Eye Hattie. We will be using some really delicious new My Minds Eye papers on Sunday - Lost and Found. Just the thought of them is making me smile!

Kanzashi flowers

Hi,
we were very lucky last night to have Katie Chaplin from Japan Crafts with us.
The project was making Kanzashi flowers. Wont they look fantastic as hair ornaments, brooches, or decorating bags!

Katie is with us again June 25th doing an Origami workshop followed by a Kimono dressing.
Keep an eye out for photos of my Star book (its nearly finished!) and details of class on making it!

sundays class

Sundays class was making these lovely little canvasses.

The canvas is covered in pages from an old book, and then distressed. The fun is deciding what to put on them next! Well done, lovely results!

new stamps

Hi Everyone,
not been able to post for a few days (sorry Maureen!) Casper (thats my computer) has been ill. Not a virus but a naughty little program attached to his browser. hes been to hospital, had a little brain surgery as is all better now!
Sarah on the other hand, has a cracking black eye! In Copic terms; started at R37, then R05, turning to Y28 with BV29 and w5 and 7 thrown in for good measure. Shes fine tho now, tumbled down the garden path, wouldnt let me post a photo tho!!

The delivery man has been busy.
We have some amazing My Minds (black) Eye, Lost and Found. I really like these, so sparkley!
New Gorjus girls and also Polka Doodles stamps. For those of you not quite so "girly" we have Andy Skinner stamps in too. If you like being "Altered", have a play with these!

Thursday eve class

Hi Guys,
so sorry this was not posted yesterday, (p.c.probs!)
Really wanted to show you all Danni and Bev's fantasic little books they made on Thursday evening,

This is Danni's. Danni wanted to keep the colours really soft, the effect was quite simply beautiful. Well done Danni, love it!

and this is Bev's. First time to one of our classes and now a Copic convert! Well done Bev, look forward to seeing you at class again soon!
